Grain
tube conveyer handy in plastic Shifting and manoeuvering the new Daytech
Engineering grain 'Tubulator' is made easier by the PVC - instead of
steel-pipe from which the unit is made. Possibly the first grain and
seed tubulator in which plastic replaces steel.
The
pipe is 300mm diameter with walls 8mm thick. The PVC suffers no corrosion
problem and is very wear resistant. Increased clearance between the belt
and the top inside surface of the tube enables more and bigger material
to be shifted quickly. The belt is vulcanized so there are no joint problems
and there is tension adjustment on the drive roller. Power for the tubulator
comes from an 11hp Honda motor driving a hydraulic pump through a flow
control to the drive roller. Speed is adjustable from 10 - 230 rpm. The
tube is 8m long, is effective to almost 30 degrees and reaches to 4.2
meters. The tubulator can handle fertilizer; cereals such as barley, wheat,
peas and maize; and crops such as onions. It has a flip-up end cover that
can be raised so product can be thrown toward the back of the sheds or
storage bins and lowered for filling trucks and drills.
The
tubulator comes with a heavy-duty jockey wheel, a detachable draw-bar
and a braked winch for raising and lowering.
